Kendrick D. Johnson, MD, FAANS is a board-certified neurosurgeon specializing in cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery, with a clinical focus on the treatment of ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, cerebral aneurysms, vascular malformations, and complex neurovascular disease. Dr. Johnson maintains active clinical and leadership roles across multiple comprehensive stroke centers throughout the Gulf South region. His work emphasizes advanced neurovascular intervention, stroke systems development, multidisciplinary collaboration, and community-focused healthcare innovation.

A first-generation college graduate raised in rural Louisiana, Dr. Johnson has developed a strong commitment to healthcare equity, mentorship, and expanding access to stroke education and treatment in underserved communities. He currently serves as Director of Stroke Outreach, leading regional initiatives focused on stroke awareness, prevention, and rapid recognition through community engagement and strategic partnerships.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Johnson is actively involved in organized neurosurgery, physician leadership, medical education, and national speaking engagements. He serves as Chair of the Combined AANS/CNS Cerebrovascular Section Executive Council and remains committed to mentorship, collaboration, and advancing the future of neurovascular care.
